The Worker’s Funerals was established in 1984 by our family Reg & Colleen Murphy. From humble beginnings we have served Sydney, Newcastle and the Central Coast with honesty and care ensuring that the Funeral Services we provide reflect the true meaning of someone’s life. We are proud to continue the legacy of our previous generations. We certainly do not rest on the laurels of our forebears. We may be a traditional style funeral home but are still willing to move with the times and provide our knowledge to benefit families.
I can remember to this day a conversation with my Grandfather who said “It is not what a community can do for you, it is what you can do for your community,” We are proud to say we are part of the Sydney, Newcastle & Central Coast Community and support numerous organisations.

No Service Cremation
A respectful and affordable cremation option without a formal service. It allows families to honour their loved one in their own time and way.
Cremation Service
We provide celebrant led cremation services at a number of trusted chapels across Sydney, Newcastle, Hunter and the Central Coast.
Church Service
A traditional church service in the place of your choosing, followed by a private cremation. It’s ideal for families who value a faith-based or formal ceremony.
